Career Powerpoint

it's sorta cool, and REALLY easy.
but it takes some time, and everyone else is playing Marbleblast...
Whatever, back to boredom
oh yeah, i forgot, it's even more boring 'cause Laila isn't here to annoy me to death....

my ex-tech teacher

he got a haircut! usually his hair looks like a deranged smurf, but today he came in to help our new tech teacher with Sims. And he had a haircut!!!!!!! it's whiter (used to be blondish) because he cut all the blonde off...anyways, it's smurfing hilarious! I said smurf, because someone else said that, and it's awesome!

Music

Music is my life!!!
I have a zillion favorite songs, but i'll just list a few:

"Held" by Natalie Grant
"Waiting on the world to change" John Mayer
"Blessed Be" Jason Gray
"Made to Love" TobyMac
"Surprise" Jars of Clay

oh, and if you know what "Veggie Tales" are (think little kid videos) i like the silly songs, most specifically the "poor tomato" thing, in spanish
miren al pepino, no...bailas...
anyways, it's hilarious

Saturday, March 17

yeah, another one 2 entries in just 1 day

okay, yeah it's sad i spend so much time blogging recently
it's because in a way i have grounded myself.
i'm doing a church mission's trip to ************ (like i'd really tell you where)
we have to do a media fast until we get back around dinner time on April 1st (we leave --not this week that we're about to have-- but late in the week after that.
the media fast doesn't allow for any TV, Movies, Internet

No non-Christian music, but i can have the telephone, and i can use my e-mail/instant messenger, just no forwards :( i can also use those things if they're for school (*sounds hopeful*) that's why i'm blogging, mostly for school

Boys

i broke up with my boyfriend last monday, the 5th. and my dad asked me yesterday if i liked "cookie boy". (apparently he assumes one boy gone, i'm gonna replace him almost instantaneously--i think it's weird, he thinks girls are just like that. oh well)(he's a friend of mine who bought a box of samoas from me--i'm a girl scout--so that's why he bought them, but w/e)
it's kinda sad really. i mention a guy's name in the house and my dad thinks i like him. just REALLY sad really, 'cause it makes me realize how little i mention my guy-friends (by name, or just by the word "he" blah blah blah...).
anyways w/e
bye peoples

So sleepy...

I'm exhausted
swim "clinic" is getting harder, i'm working twice as hard, but i'm moving sluggishly through the water.
i'm assuming it's because i've been getting even less sleep--if that's even possible...
it's saturday, but i went to sleep at 10:30, and when did i wake up? 7:30
this is beyond unfair
maybe it's the price to pay for actually trying in IB classes, geometry, Girl Scouts, swimming, church mission's trip, and soon i'll be restarting gymnastics.
only thing with gymnastics is i'll be with girls 7 and up, and that will be embarassing considering the fact that i'm so unflexible after 1 year away that it's a little scary. I mean, hello!, i can't even reach my toes anymore! oh well. i have to eat lunch, start my 3rd quarter-paperless-science-project. and my math hw. my english assignment. and continue my church-mission-trip-devotional.
hope whoever's reading this has a better weekend than me

My weird tech people-who-sit-near-me

Arushi:
plays music Laila hates (aka; Brittney Spears) oh, and she does it on purpose--it's hilarious
funny-in a crazy freaky way
spazzes out ALL THE TIME-but it's ok, "birds of a feather flock together", right?

Laila:

poser Jew (yeah, i don't know how that works, but somehow she does it)
obsessed with music that i think totally stinks
copies Arushi's ideas, political and otherwise--according to Arushi

So tired... ,jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj...oops my head hit keyboard. ow. that hurt like heck. well time for sucky school spring pictures. bye

And another one...

Yesterday I was setting up stuff, and putting it on my webpage. It took a while though, because I forgot the html code, I spelled the code wrong, and I spelled the file name wrong. it was supposed to be: (without the spaces)

E m b e d S R C = " m e d i a / . m 4 a "

but i got it wrong 3 or 4 times. It was frustrating. I wanted to just quit and walk away, but i stayed, and figured it out. So i was very proud of myself.
Just like my ex-tech teacher said I would. Then he left our school and went somewhere else. !@#$%&*!@$@#%$#^%$#^$%^$^#@^%^^%^%#%#@$@#$%@#@@^%$#$%#^$@%^$@^#^. Just kidding about the symbols, but it still stinks. Now we have his weird PE teacher friend who also knows tech-like stuff.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Oh well bye peoples.

Yeah another Reflection thing

Okay peoples. I had a fun time making a song with Garage Band. it was totally awesome! it's kinda sad but w/e. You know that song in the Disney version of Anastasia? The one in the ballroom "Dancing bears, painted wings, things I almost remember...". Yeah I wanted to do that with the little piano, but it was supposed to be original, so yeah. Anyways it was cool.

First School Reflection

"In the IB design cycle-- the process of learning something is just as important as the final product. What do you think about that?"

Well hey, I understand their point. Yeah, it's important, but as to it's being more important, they're wrong. We work our butts off to try to meet their demands, and we think we've finally got it right until BOOM! we have a mediocre D on it because of the teacher's choice not to base a portion on effort. Instead it's based on:
Writing down the facts with the teacher's opinion--not ours, even if they ask for it--because we don't know what we're talking about (too young, too naive, too uneducated [to the educated bit, i say "hello? you're the teacher!"], too uncreative.

I could give you a few examples:
A test the teacher tells you they expect you to fail.
A story you've made-up from scratch, you go, you write it, and you don't do too well because "it doesn't make sense". Hello? when does fiction make sense? It doesn't, not really.

Okay, I'm done ranting for now, and I hope I didn't freak anybody out about "what is the world coming to when smart kids have trouble in school?" and stuff.

Hey peep-olays!

Yeah, it's been a little while.
I was busy.
Anyways, wanted to tell you about my pix.
Mainly, I wanted to talk about the Marie one.
I am in geometry, before my freshman year in high school. I'm also in the IB program. Oh yeah, I can tell you're jealous...but moving on, only a truly dedicated (or extremely bored) student would go to the trouble of changing it's previously garish pink/purple polka-dot pattern of before to a pretty baby-blue.
So back to the smart thing--HA! I'm smarter then you'll ever be, and you should just quit while you're ahead (unless of course you're one of my crazy IB friends reading this, in which case is either just as smart or smarter than me...)
Anyways, I'll stop ranting. Maybe you could count the number of times I used the word :"I".
